coffee made made me do it

casual.casual.casual. this outfit is all about casual. this was perfect for a morning in colorado. on my last trip of the summer, i found myself in pagosa springs. a quiet little town in colorado that looks like it is straight out of a movie. the morning that we were leaving, we woke up early to go get coffee at a little coffee shop called River Pointe Coffee House. if youre ever in the area, you seriously need to check this place out.

i have to start with the t-shirt. shirts with phrases on them have quickly become one of my favorite things to purchase. they are easy to wear and add a little personality to your outfit. the denim overlay. so easy. it was a little chilly in the morning to just wear a t-shirt by itself. im not kidding when i say this jacket might be older than me. it was my mothers and i distinctly remember her wearing it when i was a child. but i liked it, so it became mine when she stopped wearing it. maybe i shouldve taken that as a sign that it was out of style. but personally i dont believe denim goes out of style.

the shoes. oh the shoes. everyone is raving about these shoes. they are shoes that have been out FOREVER. they have been "popular" and "unpopular" so many times that you would have whiplash if you tried to keep track of it. it seemed to me that everyone was loving the original shoe. the short ones. so when i made my way into the store to find my size, i found these babies. obsessed was an understatement. i wore these things so much my friends and family questioned if i had any other shoes. they are comfortable and easy to pair with outfits. the high tops add some "spunk" which is what i loved about them.

"leggings are not pants" blah blah blah. they go on your bottom half. they are pants. some might be see-through, and you probably shouldnt wear them with a shirt that doesnt cover your butt, but they are pants. they are comfy and easy to wear. if you would like to continue to believe they are not pants, you can. but im going to continue to believe they are. so yeah.

if youre curious what the book is that im reading, its "Blue like Jazz" by Donald Miller. my shoes are from a kids foot locker (yes my feet are small). leggings are from the one and only target. purse and tshirt are from versona (a personal favorite store of mine). denim overlay is from my momma closet. thanks for letting me have some of your time. have a wonderful day with good coffee and lots of smiles.

all my best always

zoie
