okay. so i might have been feeeeeeling myself in this photo shoot. but come on. this outfit combo is to die for! im easily obsessed with every item of clothing. almost to the point of it being embarrassing. almost. the jacket is super warm. but my favorite thing about it, is the cut of it. it is so flattering and doesnt feel heavy at all. there are little specks of gold threading in the mix of the black and white to give it a little extra flare. when i bought the jacket, i didnt know that. then when it came in, im not going to lie, i was disappointed when i saw the gold. but now, its one of my favorite things about the jacket. i usually wear gold jewelry anyways, and i HATE mixing metals. it drives me nuts. but since this has gold in it, it gives my ocd a little breather.
the shirt is long sleeved, but also has the option to be rolled up and buttoned to be quarter-length. its really light weight so im convinced that i can wear it year round. i love shirts that have something unique to them. whether its holes, weird buttons, high-lows, ruffles or in this case a little tie at the bottom. i think the tie at the bottom can take a very bland top and turn it into something cute and feminine. plus, i pretty much dress in white, black and grey 24/7 so its perfect for me.
i paired this look with a pair of really thick leggings. ive already gone and made the point that i think leggings are pants so im not going to put you through the pain of reading through my explanation again. they are pants. anyways, if you dont feel that way, you could always wear this with jeans or black pants. these leggings that i have on are seriously my favorites in the entire world. they were like $60, which for a broke college kid, i wasnt thrilled about, but they were so worth it. im telling you, these leggings suck EVERYTHING in. eat too much at lunch? you would never know with these babies, because they are just that awesome. im in love. with a pair of leggings. desperate? not at all.
the shoes were around $50 if i am remembering correctly. they caught my eye as soon as i scrolled past them. if you havent caught on by now, all i do is online shop. sales are so much better and i can do it in my underwear with no makeup on. its the best of both worlds. plus no one sees me guilty cry once i pay for everything. back to the booties. yes they have a little heel on them, but you truly dont even realize it because they are built more like a boot. so super comfortable. they are suede, but so far i havent had any problems keeping them clean. i also like the fact that they go up a little above the ankle. its different from most booties, but i like it.
the backpack. i am on a trend right now where i carry a backpack as my purse. even though some wouldnt call this an actual backpack because its smaller. it is. i carry it at school and since it holds my computer and planner and everything else that my mary poppins purse carries, its perfect. i love it simply because i can put it on my back and it doesnt hurt my arms from carrying it. the only downside to it is the possibility of someone stealing out of it because it is behind you. that just means you have to be extra careful when youre out and about. but, it definitely didnt keep me from buying it. its steve madden and i got it at tjmaxx for $40. so i call that a win.
i think this outfit is great for many occasions. i think the cut of the jacket tends to look like a blazer, so it does add a more professional idea to the look which i actually like. i wore the top half of this outfit again with jeans and black skinny heels and it was super cute that way too. i know, im an outfit repeater. call my lizzie mcguire. if you didnt get that joke, then it was either as bad as i thought it would be or we shouldnt be friends. jk. anyways. thank you for taking time out of your day to spend some time with me. i appreciate all of you that listen, share, comment, like and subscribe. thank you for letting me be a part of your day.
