thomas had it all planned. while i was busy one night, he met with his sister-in-law and they discussed the plan. a week later while we were at a family dinner, ashley invited us to a mystery party that some friends were having. the basis of the game was that there would be a guys against girls scavenger hunt with a main party at the end of the clues. fun right? i went out to the mall the day before the party and bought his tie and made sure our outfits would coordinate. control freak much? the next day thomas picks me up at my apartment to take us to eat with our friends and family. dinner went as normal, and towards the end once everyone finished their meal, the guys stand up and say they have to be at their first destination in a bit. the guys leave but us girls had about 15 minutes until our destination. time is up and we all load up to the car with an address in our gps. we travel to the first destination, and i see there are no cars outside and immediately assume we are at the wrong address. ashley pushes for us to go and check it out. we get to the door and im still skeptical. finally i look in the door and see candles and red yarn. i think that these are still part of the game and walk in through the door. i hear soft music playing and see my name on a card folded on the yarn.
as i walk and follow the yarn, on every piece of paper is a reason why thomas loves me. and in between all of the papers were pictures of us and all the fun times we have had together so far. when i get to the last room, he was there waiting for me. he asked me to spend forever with him. i don't think i even let him finish what he was saying before i said yes. i was blown away that the love of my life wanted to spend forever with me too. i couldn't imagine that i was going to get the chance to love him every single day of my life. my dreams were reality. as we finished up at the building and i realized the game was all a ploy, we made our way to another favorite restaurant of ours where all of our family and friends were there to celebrate with us. i was overwhelmed with love and gratitude. i am so blessed to live this beautiful life.

let me end this post by saying that i had absolutely no idea what was going on. i knew thomas and i were at "that" point, and that i pestered him and everyone we knew about it happening every five seconds. but what can i say? i love this guy! also i knew chriselda would be the one to take the pictures, and she went on a trip to greece the week before. she said that on their way home they were going to stop in new york for a couple of days putting her arrival back home a couple of days after the actual engagement. she even went as far as to have a friend of hers in new york log on to her snap chat to post pics so i wouldn't know that she was actually already back home. sneaky sneaky. we decided to have a short engagement because we were so ready to be married. life has been a whirlwind of happiness. for now, here are the pictures from our happy night. a night i will remember for the rest of my life.
